1Heat a pot with a splash of cooking oil .cooking oil: splash ()

2Brown prime ribs on all sides in the pot. Remove the ribs from the pot afterwards.prime ribs: 500 gr

3Add a bit more cooking oil if needed. Add star anise and cinnamon stick .cooking oil, star anise: 1, cinnamon stick: 2

4Also add a thumb-sized ginger , shallot , garlic and chilli . Fry the aromatics until fragrant on a medium low heat for about ⏱️ 1 min .ginger: 1 thumb sized piece (minced), shallot: 2 (minced), garlic: 4 cloves (chopped), chilli: 3

5Add chinese rice wine or water to deglaze the pan. 6Add the prime ribs meat side facing downwards. Add enough water to cover the ribs. Simmer on low heat for ⏱️ 1.5 hrs .prime ribs, water
